Pokémon Go servers appear to have crashed.

As millions of people hoping to make the most of a sunny Saturday with an afternoon of Pokémon hunting took to the streets, demand may well have been too high.

Users in the UK, as well as countries including Holland and the US, complained of the augmented reality game freezing and refusing to allow them to log in.

It comes after the hugely popular app crashed following overwhelming demand as it was launched in Britain on Thursday.

Hundreds of people took to Twitter to complain that their day's plan had been ruined.
