Queen responds to Martin McGuinness' question of 'how are you?' with 'well, I'm still alive'
Asked by Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister how she was, the Queen has replied "well, I'm still alive".
Elizabeth II's comments came as she met Martin McGuinness at Hillsborough Castle during a two day visit to Northern Ireland.
The Queen is being accompanied on her visit by The Duke of Edinburgh, and on Monday also met with Northern Ireland's First Minister Arlene Foster.
Ms Foster said that following the Brexit vote, Northern Ireland and Ireland hoped to maintain the common travel area between the two countries, and hoped that in the future EU regulation would allow Northern Ireland to become more "innovative".
On Tuesday the royal couple will visit the Giant's Causeway.
