The Voice star Christina Grimmie has died after being shot after concert by gunman
Christina Grimmie, former star of The Voice, has died after being shot after a concert in Orlando, her publicist has confirmed.
Miss Grimmie, 22, was attacked when she was signing autographs.
The gunman - who was tackled by Miss Grimmie's brother - then shot and killed himself.
She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries.
In a statement, her publicist confirmed to NBC News: "It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gun shot wounds."
Friends, celebrities and colleagues have paid tribute to the singer.
Police say Miss Grimmie was shot about 22:45 local time on Friday at The Plaza Live in Orlando.
Police did not identify the shooter and said a motive is not yet known.
