Donald Trump's former butler makes death threats against Barack Obama

Donald Trump's former butler has made online death threats against US President Barack Obama.

Anthony Senecal, who served the Republican presidential hopeful at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, directed a number of incendiary comments at the president and his family.

Among the string of racially-charged Facebook posts, Mr Senecal referred to the president a "Kenyan fraud" who should be hanged for treason.

The US Secret Service said it is aware of the matter and will conduct an "appropriate investigation".

Mr Trump's campaign said in a statement: "Tony Senecal has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for years, but nevertheless we totally and completely disavow the horrible statements made by him regarding the President and first family."

Mr Senecal worked for Donald Trump for almost 30 years. When he tried to retire in 2009, Mr Trump reportedly kept him on as an unofficial historian at the Mar-a-Lago estate.
