Reporters in North Korea kept far from historic Congress meeting

International journalists in North Korea for a historic Congress, which is expected to be used a 'coronation' of power for leader Kim Jong Un, have been kept far from the action - and instead taken on a factory tour.

Scores of journalists touched down in North Korea in the hope of seeing the secretive state's first such meeting in 36 years.

ITV News' China correspondent Debi Edward has described how foreign media organisations have been denied access to the event.

It has since emerged that reporters have instead been treated to the sight of a model factory and its employees playing football and cards, whilst the big event takes place elsewhere.
