Emmerdale's Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden introduce second child Bowie Grey

Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have revealed their son Bowie Grey to the world, but insisted he wasn't named after the music legend.

Charley posted a picture of her with her son, who was born in December, on her Twitter feed.

Emmerdale were quick to congratulate the soap's pair.

And although he's called Bowie Grey, the couple have insisted he wasn't named after David Bowie.

In an interview with OK magazine, Matthew said: "Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of David Bowie but that wasn’t why we chose the name. We just both loved it.

"We’d chosen the name before he was born and named him straight away, and then David Bowie died three weeks later."

The couple, who already have a son called Buster, told the magazine how it was a stressful first few weeks after Bowie was born due to an extreme reflex which stopped him holding down his milk.

“Bowie lost a lot of weight when he was first born, which was the biggest worry. He kept losing it for the first two weeks. It was horrible. I’ve never been more stressed or worried in my life,” the couple said.
