Mother-to-be gets pilot to announce she is pregnant to unsuspecting husband

One mother-to-be chose a pretty untraditional way of breaking the news to her husband - via the pilot on their flight home from Las Vegas.

Eric Sadiwnyk was left on cloud nine after the news was announced to their entire flight as they returned to Philadelphia.

His wife Lisa captured the special moment in a heartwarming video.

"We'd like to draw your attention to seat 29E, where you'll find Eric who's travelling with his wife Lisa," the pilot said.

"Well Eric although you didn't strike it rich here in Las Vegas, you did hit the jackpot. Congratulations, you're about to be a dad."

The cabin erupted with cheers and clapping as the news was broken, while a visibly shocked Mr Sadiwnyk kissed his tearful wife.

Mrs Sadiwnyk shouted "thank you" following the announcement, while her husband appeared to wipe away a tear.

In a Facebook post last month, she wrote: "A few weeks ago, my husband Eric Sadiwnyk got quite the surprise on our returning flight from Las Vegas.

"There aren't enough thank yous for the crew of American Airlines Flight 607 with service from Las Vegas to Philadelphia. You all helped me to pull this off seamlessly!

"I'm hoping if this video makes it around the internet a bit, I may be able to find the crew and thank them again!

"I love you Eric Sadiwnyk!"
