Duchess of Cambridge guest edits The Huffington Post and calls for 'taboo' of mental health to be broken

The Duchess of Cambridge will turn reporter for the day as she guest edits The Huffington Post.

Her Royal Highness will join the Huffpost UK team in a temporary newsroom set up at Kensington Palace.

It is part of her ongoing work on children's mental health and ties in with the launch of Young Minds Matter.

"I think she'll be an excellent editor," Huffington Post's editor-in-chief Stephen Hull said.

The initiative which discusses the problems, causes and solutions to the stigma surrounding the UK's mental health problem among children.

Kate has helped commission a series of articles, blogs and videos from a number of leading figures in the mental health sector she has previously worked with.

The content will also draw attention to the inspiring work being done by parents, teachers, young people and researchers around the country.

Using the hashtag #YoungMindsMatter, it will be released throughout on The Huffington Post website throughout the day.

And it is not the first time the Duchess has tried her hand at a different profession.

Both her and William hit the phones as City brokers to raise money for charity in December.

She has also written a blog post for The Huffington Post website to mark the launch of an editorial series called Young Minds Matter which discusses children and mental health.

The Duchess began campaigning on mental health soon after getting married and is patron of several related charities.

She wrote:

Benita Refson OBE, president of children's mental health charity Place 2 Be, said Kate's involvement with the charity has made a "huge difference".
