Ex-West Ham and Real Madrid defender Julien Faubert on trial in Scotland

Former Real Madrid and West Ham defender Julien Faubert is currently on trial with Scottish side St Johnstone.

Faubert, 32, played for the the club's Under-20 side against Hearts on Monday night.

The full-back, who has four caps for France, played over 100 times for West Ham and featured on loan at Real Madrid, where he was regarded as being one of the club's worst ever signings.

Faubert was last on the books on Bordeaux but left the club last year and has so far been unable to find a new one.

Recently Faubert has been training with Spanish third tier side CE L’Hospitalet in the hope of building up his fitness.
