Jimmy Hill: Players and fans gather to remember Coventry City legend
Players and fans have gathered to remember the life of football legend Jimmy Hill.
Hill, a former Coventry City manager and chairman and Match of the Day host, died last year aged 87.
Greg Dyke, Alan Hansen, John Motson and Roy Hodgson were among the names to attend the packed memorial service at Coventry Cathedral.
Thousands of fans - who could not fit inside the cathedral - listened to proceedings from outside.
Gordon Taylor, the chief executive of the Professional Footballers' Association, said Hill, one of his predecessors, was the "biggest personality I've ever known".
"He was football's Christopher Columbus."
Match of the Day commentator John Motson said: "Jimmy is summed up in three words. Inspirational, innovator and inventor. He had it all."
