Couple set for 'most northern wedding ever' with Yorkshire pudding cake
A couple are preparing for the "most northern wedding ever" - with a cake made entirely from Yorkshire puddings.
Adam Nicholson and Becca Piwinski won the cake, created by experts at Aunt Bessie's, in a competition to celebrate National Yorkshire Pudding Day on Sunday.
The three-tiered pud features delicate Yorkshire pudding canapés - and will have a gravy fountain for the big day in July.
Bride-to-be Becca said: "We are getting married on a Yorkshire farm and a giant Yorkshire pudding wedding cake felt like a brilliant idea to wow our guests with.
"We absolutely love Yorkshire puddings and I have tried numerous times to make my own and failed.
"Aunt Bessie's is the guaranteed favourite every time, which is why we thought we would enter the competition - but we never thought we would win."
Adam added: "We are already so excited about our wedding day and now even more so as we'll have this crazy wedding cake to show off to our guests."
The master chefs at Aunt Bessie's spent three weeks lovingly designing and creating the ambitious cake.
Howard Rowell, Development Chef at Aunt Bessie's said: "As the market leaders in Yorkshire puddings, we're always looking to take our development to the next level.
"And what better way to celebrate National Yorkshire Pudding Day than by giving two of our fans one of our finest creations yet".
