Two arrested over horrific hit-and-run which left man for dead
Two people have been arrested in connection with a horrific a hit-and-run in which a pedestrian was completely thrown over a car and left for dead.
The 53-year-old victim was left seriously injured after being mown down by a Fiat 500 as he crossed Montague Place in the Kemptown area of Brighton.
Footage of the incident, in which horrified witnesses stand by in disbelief as the man lies sprawled motionless in the road, has since been viewed more than a million times.

A 31-year-old man from Brighton has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing serious injury after trying to hide on a roof.
He was also detained on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
A 56-year-old woman was held on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice. Both are in custody, Sussex Police said.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101, quoting Operation Northdown.
