Friends hold Christmas party on the train to work

Passengers on the 08.08 from Abergavenny to Cardiff were joined by a group of friends having their Christmas party during the morning rush hour.

Solicitor Allan Wilson, PR man Chris Lines, HR adviser Sian Grainger and RSPB men Jon Gruffydd, Jeremy Powell and Cellan Michael all enjoyed a breakfast banquet - complete with bubbles - on their way to work.

Father-of-four Mr Lines, who works for charity Sustain Wales, said:

By the time train pulled into Cardiff Central on Friday, the men say the rest of the carriage had embraced the festive spirit.

Mr Gruffydd added:

But sadly, there was no party on the way home for the group - as they all get different trains home.

Mr Lines, 53, added: "The train home is dominated by city dwellers. I don't think they have the same spirit as us Abergavenny lot."
