Saudi millionaire cleared of rape after claiming he 'accidentally tripped and penetrated' teen
A Saudi millionaire has been cleared of raping a teenager after telling a court he may have accidentally penetrated the 18-year-old when he tripped and fell on her.
Ehsan Abdulaziz, 46, was accused of forcing himself on the girl who had slept on his sofa at his flat in Maida Vale, London, after a night out drinking.
The property developer had just had sex with the girl's 24-year-old friend, whom he already knew, and claimed his penis might have been poking out of his underwear when he fell on the teenager.
He claimed he had gone to see if the girl had wanted a t-shirt to sleep in or a taxi home. He added that she pulled him on top of her and placed his hand between her legs and that was when he fell.
The teenager said she woke up in the early hours with Abdulaziz on top of her and forcing himself inside her.
His semen was found inside the girl, but he said it was possible he had semen on his hands from having just had sex with her friend.
Abdulaziz had met the 18-year-old in the Cirque le Soir nightclub on 7 August 2014 when she was with her friend who was already known to the businessman.
The three went back to his apartment and drank vodka before Abdulaziz had sex with the 24-year-old in his bedroom.
He was cleared of one count of rape at Southwark Crown court and was acquitted by the jury after just 30 minutes of deliberations.
