#TouchMySoul: Public invited to call actor Shia LaBeouf

Shia Labeouf has invited the public to call him as part of the 'Touch My Soul' project.

Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf is taking calls from the public for the launch of new art project #TOUCHMYSOUL.

The Transformers star and two collaborators Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner have been manning the phones at Liverpool's Fact Gallery since 11am on Thursday.

The trio can be reached until 6pm and the chat is being streamed online.

Many fans have been trying to get through to the actor with limited success.

But for others their efforts have been rewarded.

Off the big screen the 29-year-old has become increasingly known for his performance art endeavours.

In January, he featured in singer Sia's controversial video "Elastic Heart", which saw him tussling with 12-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler.

He also famously wore a paper bag with the slogan "I am not famous anymore" on the red carpet at the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2014.
