Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas arrested and fined £90 by police for being drunk and disorderly

Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas has been arrested by police and fined for being drunk and disorderly after an alleged row at a nightclub.

Thomas, 31, was held by officers and taken to the station cells before being fined £90 and released.

The actor plays builder Jason Grimshaw in the ITV soap.

He has returned to Manchester following the incident at the Wheelhouse Club and Lounge in Bowness-on-Windermere in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called at 1.09am on Sunday after trouble at the club in Cumbria.

Thomas was arrested, taken to Kendal police station's cells and later that morning was fined for being drunk and disorderly.

He is scheduled to leave the soap next summer after more than a decade in the show.
