Mason Noise kicked off X Factor after clash with Simon Cowell

Mason Noise has been booted out of this year's X Factor competition after a heated confrontation with the show's head judge Simon Cowell.

The 21-year-old was branded "a complete a******e" by Cowell during the show's six chair challenge when he decided to throw a strop over the length of his audition slot.

Following a crowd pleasing performance Noise took the opportunity of being in the spotlight to directly address the audience and challenge the judges over what he thought had been a shortened audition slot in the earlier stage of the show.

He said: "I've got something to say. You know what? I invite you all to film this, or put up your phones. They ain't going to throw four or five thousand people out.

"The first audition I watched on Saturday, people had 10-minute slots, and I went to 47 seconds."

Cowell responded to the cocky youngster by telling him he was in no position to dictate how long he got on stage.

He said: "Mason, you know what? You are five seconds away from getting thrown off this stage. And I mean it.

"You are being a complete a******e. Don't tell me how long you should have on this show. If you've got a problem, then just go."

And it seems the arguement cost Noise his seat as boys mentor Nick Grimshaw said he would have given Noise a seat before the clash.

As the competition hots up judges have reached the stage of boot camp where each of them cuts their category down to six finalists for Judges' Houses and seats on stage are allocated based on who is considered good enough.

Tonight's show saw Grimshaw complete his lineup by giving 19-year-old Che Chesterton a seat after he impressed with his version of James Brown classic It's A Man's Man's Man's World, and mechanic Josh Daniel a place for his rendition of Emeli Sande's Clown.

Also among his picks were 24-year-old Australian Seann Miley Moore, 19-year-old Tom Bleasby, receptionist Ben Clark and 23-year-old Simon Lynch.
