Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has met the cameraman who crashed into him on a Segway.

The 100m and 200m World Championships gold medalist chatted with Song Tao and accepted a gift from the cameraman to show there were no hard feelings.

Song was using a steadycam when his Segway struck a barrier, forcing the cameraman to lose control and crash into Bolt while he was celebrating his latest win.

“The important thing is that he is OK. I’m fine and ready to get back to work,” Song told the Guardian.

After the incident Bolt joked fellow sprinter Justin Gatlin had paid the cameraman to injure him, saying: “He tried to kill me! I don’t know what he was going on. It was like: ‘You are winning too much – take him out!’”

It was feared Bolt could have suffered an injury, but the Jamaican admitted he was fine.

"It didn't actually hit me in my Achilles, it hit me in my calf area," Bolt confirmed to Press Association Sport. "It's alright, I will get over it.

"Never a doubt (for the relays), never a doubt. I am just going to get it massaged, ice it up a bit and I should be fine."
