A chronically ill man is believed to have killed his wife before committing suicide at their home in Wales.

Police investigating the deaths of Nigel and Stacey Henderson, whose bodies were discovered at their home in Chepstow, Monmouthshire, last Friday, have confirmed 35-year-old Mrs Henderson's death is being treated as suspicious.

Officers said they were continuing their inquiries into the deaths, but said that her 52-year-old husband's death was "non suspicious".

A spokeswoman added: "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."

Following her death, Stacey Henderson's family released a statement paying tribute to a "wonderful and much loved daughter."

Gwent Police said the couple's families were continuing to be support by specialist officers.

An inquest for the couple is due to open at Newport Coroner's Court this afternoon.
