TV chef Nigella Lawson will voice the results for this year's Eurovision song contest in the UK, it has been revealed.

Taking to her official Twitter account, the kitchen goddess replied to a fan's query over rumours in true multi-lingual style, saying: "Yes, it's true. Oui, c'est vrai. Ja, das ist wahr."

She was reportedly asked to read out the results after tweeting a picture of herself sporting a drawn-on beard, in support of last year's winner, Austrian drag queen Conchita Wurst.

She is filling in for Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, who has performed the duty in recent years but will be occupied by the Radio 1 Big Weekend event instead this year.

The televised Grand Final will be held on Saturday and shown on BBC One from 8pm.

The UK will be represented at the 60th edition of the annual contest by duo Electric Velvet, aka Alex Larke and Bianca Nicholas.

They will perform Still in Love With You, a neon-tinged, 50s swing-inspired electro number written by by David Mindel and Adrian Bax White.
