Rhinoceros on the rampage in Nepalese town

A rhinoceros that escaped from a nature reserve in Nepal has caused chaos on its rampage through the small town of Hetuada.

Locals posted videos of the rhino running through their neighbourhoods - in some cases chasing people on motorcycles as they fled.

A local government official said they believed one person had been killed by the rhino, and several others injured.

The Chitwan National Park in Nepal is a world heritage site known for its one-horned rhinoceros.

Government official Ram Prasad Thapaliya said they are still trying lure the rhino back to the park.

There were multiple reports of several other injuries as a result of the rhino, but these have not been confirmed at this time.
