Jeremy Clarkson has hinted that he expects to be sacked by the BBC following his "fracas" with a producer.

Footage of the suspended Top Gear presenter speaking at a charity event, obtained by the Daily Mirror, also appears to show Clarkson accusing his bosses of "f***** up the show".

The 54-year-old said he wanted to do "one last ever lap" of the Top Gear test track.

In the expletive-ridden speech, Clarkson said:

Clarkson's future at the BBC is likely to be decided next week when the corporation's internal investigation into his behaviour is handed over to the director-general.

The presenter is alleged to have physically and verbally assaulted a member of his team after he emerged late home from the pub to find there was no hot food waiting for him.

He is alleged to have called his producer a 'lazy, Irish ****'.

Earlier today, a petition to have him reinstated signed almost one million times, was delivered to the BBC in a tank by a man dressed as The Stig.
