Mark Wright 2014 Apprentice winner
Mark Wright has become this year's winner of The Apprentice after making it through eleven weeks of tough competition without incurring the wrath of Alan Sugar's firing finger.
The 25-year-old Australian was named as Lord Sugar's new business partner when the final of The Apprentice was aired on BBC this evening and he is now guaranteed £250,000 worth of investment in his fledgling digital marketing business.
Beating fellow finalist Bianca Miller, who wanted to launch a range of tights that matched various different skin tones, the digital marketing sales manager said the experience had been a "rollercoaster."
He said: "It's a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but I'm in it for the long haul."
Wright impressed Lord Sugar with his idea to draw on his current experience and launch a digital marketing agency which uses search engine optimisation to help push businesses up online searches.
After finding out he had won Wright said he was excited to be starting a business in London as it was a city full of opportunity.
He said: "London particularly is a land of opportunity for young people to start businesses. You can start a business here from your kitchen bench and turn over a million quid - what other place in the world can you do that?"
