Post Office faces pre-Christmas strike action
Workers who deliver money to Post Offices will stage a 24-hour strike in a dispute over pay and jobs ahead of Christmas.
Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) are set to walk out on December 12.
They are responsible for the collection, handling and distribution of cash across the Post Office network.
Talks will be held at the conciliation service Acas on Monday in a bid to avert the strike, which the union said would hit the delivery of cash to the Post Office's 11,500 branches across the UK.
