Flooding fears as temperatures rise in snowed-in Buffalo
Residents in Buffalo, New York State, started to begin to dig out out of their homes after a three-day snow-storm trapped thousands of people inside.
At least 13 people died in the storms, authorities told NBC News.
Temperatures are set to rise, raising fears of flooding as the snow melts.
New York Governor Cuomo said authorities were taking as many cautions as possible.
Temperatures this morning remained around freezing, but are expected to rise to around 15 degrees Celsius by Monday.
Tom Moore, a meteorologist at The Weather Channel said the rain would be heavy tomorrow.
