Miliband 'absolutely furious' over Labour MP's England flag tweet

A senior Labour MP has angered party leader Ed Miliband after she tweeted a picture of a house draped with England flags with the words "Image from Rochester."

Miliband was said to be "absolutely furious" about the tweet, which was posted by Islington South and Finsbury MP Emily Thornberry as locals went to the polls during the Rochester and Strood by-election.

A Labour source told ITV News Political Editor Tom Bradby it was "the angriest I have ever seen him".

"He thinks people should fly the England flag with pride," the source added.

Some Twitter users leapt on her comment, accusing Ms Thornberry of snobbery and being "out of touch":
