US doctor shoots his wife and himself on their wedding night
A doctor murdered his new wife before turning his gun on himself just minutes after guests left the wedding reception.
Police in Indiana received three short 911 calls from Kelly Samson saying the man she had married just hours earlier was going to kill her.
The body of anaesthesiologist, George Samson was found in the basement of the large home he shared with Kelly.
Mrs Samson's body was found a bedroom belonging to her son from a previous relationship.
"The investigation has revealed that there was a verbal argument between the couple toward the end of the reception, which carried over to the after party at the couple's home," Vigo County Chief Deputy Sheriff Clark Cottom said in an email.
"Shortly after the last guest left at around 1:17 a.m., Kelly Ecker Samson called 911 reporting that her husband had threatened to kill her. There were a total of three very brief 911 calls, which in the first two the caller disconnected."
It is believed that Mrs Samson's son and her parents-in-law were also in the house but were unharmed.
