Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote marries second wife in Ivory Coast
Cheick Tiote's agent Jean Musampa has confirmed the Newcastle midfielder married a second woman, despite still living with his first wife and their two children in Newcastle.
Premier League footballer Tiote, who earns £45,000 a week, married Laeticia Doukrou in a traditional ceremony in his native Ivory Coast this month, even though he continues to live with first wife, Madah.
The 28 year-old's Zimbabwean mistress, Nkosiphile Mpofu, also lives nearby where she is raising his son, Rafael, although Tiote's three year relationship with her is said to have ended recently.
After confirming that Tiote had married for a second time this month, the player's agent Jean Musampa explained "this is nothing unusual" for a Muslim, before refusing to shed light on Tiote's relationship with his second wife.
Meanwhile, the Ivory Coast international doesn't see anything wrong his actions, according to a source close to him, who is quoted in the Sun, suggesting:
"He doesn’t see a problem with having two wives.
"It’s perfectly acceptable in his culture. He doesn’t see he has done anything wrong and doesn’t know what the fuss is all about."
