Scottish independence referendum gets bizarre Taiwanese animation treatment
A bizarre report by a Taiwanese news channel shows animated versions of Alex Salmond, Alistair Darling, the Queen and Fat B*stard from Austin Powers explaining the Scottish independence referendum.
The CGI politicians are seen variously sawing along the Scottish border, shooting eachother with eye-lasers and handing out deep-fried food to voters.
Be warned that the video features a potentially offensive attempt at a Scottish accent.
After a brief polling background, the explainer begins with a computer game-style Alistair Darling pressing the panic button.
...before CGI Alex Salmond saws off Scotland from the rest of Britain.
But as he does so, Scottish financiers march their businesses out of the country...
...before another banker violently stabs him in the back.
We then see the Queen, who has erected a large sign outside the Palace...
...despite privately crying into her sewing machine...
....while embroidering a new, Scotland-free Union flag.
It's then that we meet Fat B*stard, the vulgar Scottish stereotype from the Austin Powers comedy films...
...before concluding that "people and unicorns of Scotland [should] vote Yes."
