Souvenir Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games stamps go on sale

A special set of souvenir stamps has gone on sale celebrating the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The six colourful stamps feature swimming, track cycling, squash, judo, netball and athletics.

They were created using the illustrations of Dutch artist Nanette Hoogslag and images by Daily Mail photographer Andy Hooper.

One of the numerals doubles as the white diagonal cross of the Saltire, Scotland's national flag.

Scottish swimmers David Wilkie and Robbie Renwick launched the Royal Mail collection.

Wilkie said: "It is a privilege to launch these stamps and for everyone across the UK to be able to own a piece of Commonwealth Games history."
