British businessman Paul Kane, a designated holder of one of just seven keys that can reboot the internet in times of crisis, has allowed cameras into his office.

The father-of-two was headhunted to take on the special role which would require him to fly to a top-secret location in the US with other card-holders where they would together turn a master key to reboot the web.

The security measure is aimed at protecting governments, banks and businesses in the event of a global cyber attack from hackers, terrorists or hostile powers.
