A young West Ham fan pictured on television tearfully reacting to his side's FA Cup humiliation at Nottingham Forest on Sunday has been offered a VIP package by the London club by way of apology.

The Hammers have issued an appeal to find the boy so they can offer him and his family Directors' Box tickets to a home match of their choice.

The youngster could not contain his tears after Forest's Jamie Paterson put Championship side 3-0 ahead and the ITV Sport cameras captured the fan's agony.

Paterson went on to complete a hat-trick before Andy Reid rounded off a 5-0 win for the home side.
