Wild variations in opinion over zero hours contracts

Whether you think that the zero hours contract is a vital way of bosses being able to manage their workforce, or a very unjust way of exploiting employees, you can't ignore the fact that people who work on them, and businesses who offer them, have a vast range of views on the problems they cause or the positives they can bring.
This morning I've been asking workers and employers for their experiences on Twitter and it is clear that there are wild variations. For some it provides just the flexibility they want. For some bosses it is the only way they say they can afford to take on new staff. But for others, zero hours contracts are a source of some income, yes, but also insecurity and anxiety.
