Camilla expects William and Kate's royal baby 'by the end of the week'
The Duchess of Cornwall has let slip that the royal family hopes that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby will be born "by the end of the week."
In a light-hearted exchange during a visit to the Little Harbour children's hospital near St Austell, Cornwall, Camilla remarked: "We don't know what's going to happen. We're all waiting at the end of a telephone.
"I hope by the end of the week he or she will be there."
William and Kate's first child was expected to be born in "mid July" but the public was not given an exact due date.
The world's media has been camped outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London since the start of the month.
