'Action hero' Ed Miliband helped cyclist after she crashed off her bike
Ed Miliband went to the aid of a cyclist who had crashed off her bike in Kentish Town last Thursday, it has emerged.
Ella Phillips, 29, told Camden New Journal that the Labour leader ran into the middle of the road - just like “an action hero”.
The cyclist said that she initially thought she had suffered concussion when Mr Miliband's face suddenly appeared in front of her after she flipped over her handlebars near Kentish Town underground station.
Mr Miliband then helped the artist - who later found out she had fractured her arm - away from the traffic and over to the pavement
“He kept asking if I was ok, if I was hurt. He was there for a good few minutes, Ms Phillips said.
"I’ll definitely be voting for him now. In fact, it worked so well I half suspected he had deliberately knocked me off my bike just to gallantly help me up again. "
A spokesman for Mr Miliband confirmed to the newspaper that he had helped Ms Phillips.
