A rosy picture: The spinning vortex of Saturn's north polar storm
NASA's Cassini spacecraft has captured a stunning image of the spinning vortex of Saturn's north polar storm.
It resembles a giant deep red rose and its eye is 1,250 miles across with cloud speeds as fast as 330 miles per hour.
The image was taken last November and is among the first sunlit views of Saturn's north pole captured by Cassini's imaging cameras.
