Freddie Starr bailed after further questioning by Savile police
Comedian Freddie Starr has been released on police bail after being questioned twice in two days by police officers investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal.
The 69-year-old returned to speak to officers earlier today after first being arrested yesterday on suspicion of sexual offences, and bailed in the early hours of this morning.
His next bail date has not yet been revealed by Scotland Yard.
Starr, from Warwickshire, was released at around 5.20pm.
Starr has been publicly implicated in the Savile scandal over the past month but has strongly denied the accusations.
Last month he branded Savile "despicable" and "disgusting", and urged police to interview him so he could clear his name.
