The Conservative Party co-chairman Baroness Warsi has apologised for failing to disclose her shared business interest with a relative who travelled with her to Pakistan on an official visit.

The trip, in July 2010 soon after she was appointed a Minister, was designed to "capitalise on the interest and goodwill" that her appointment generated.

Baroness Warsi did not disclose the fact that she had a shared business relationship with Mr Abid Hussain, a relative and community activist who accompanied her during the trip.
