Family of Robin Gibb say he has 'beaten the odds'
After visiting him in hospital today, Robin Gibb's wife Dwina said they played Bee Gees music to him while he was in his coma and could see he was responding. They say he was trying to mouth along to the words.
They plan to play him a DVD of the premiere of the Titanic Requiem that he composed with his son Robin John when they visit him again this evening. He had hoped to attend the premiere which was on 10 April, but was unable to because of his illness.
Dwina and Robin's son Robin-John both said the star had "beaten the odds" against his illness.
