8 things we learnt on day 8

Watch out for those claws ladies - day 8 saw cracks appear among the girls for the first time. Molly-Mae set eyes on Danny, leaving Yewande's chances at love potentially over before they'd begun - although quite frankly it ain't over until somebody snogs. Joe gave Michael some encouragement in his bid to win over Amber, and Molly-Mae got herself ready for a visit to Danny Land - leaving Anton with yet another serving of pie. Here's what we learnt on day 8.

1. Yewande’s date got saucy

No date in a beautiful Spanish vineyard would be complete without some bread, olives and dip. But the alioli put our sweet Yewande on edge before they’d had their first bite.“Do you know what it is, I don’t like sauces. I’ll have ketchup and that’s it,” she admitted.“What have you got against the other sauces?” asked Danny.

That wasn’t quite the saucy start we were hoping for...

2. ...While Amber's date turned frosty

After a cute, breezy, sunny first date with Yewande, the vibe turned a bit frosty when Amber took her seat at Danny’s table of love for his second date of the day. Despite Joe’s friendly advice to not “shut him down straightaway,” she went straight in with a stunner of an opening line.“You look really old," she told the 21-year-old.

Brrrr. It's lucky Danny had more than one admirer to warm him back up once he entered the entered the villa...

3. The villa being gassed after Yewande’s date was the CUTEST

There may not be too many sizzling couples (yet), but this is a villa full of love!

4. A face massage is not the way to wake up Molly-Mae

Oh Tommy, when will you learn? Having a villa of hot men trying to win you over is very tiring work.

5. Amber and Danny went on very different versions of the same date

The girls gathered on the rooftop to get the goss about Amber’s date with Danny. “He’s really sweet,” she told them, “But give him a bit of banter and I don’t think he could hack it. He was really quiet.”

Meanwhile down in the garden with the boys, Danny was biting back. “If she needs to be with someone who’s a bit soft then that’s not me,” he reasoned, adding: “I’ll have a run in with her because I'll say what I think and I’ll say what I feel.”

6. Don't let red lipstick get in the way of a good kiss

Who doesn’t love a bit of red lippy? Yes it looks hot, but it’s not necessarily the practical choice when you’re busy smooching bae. After sharing some steamy kisses with Amy, Curtis was left looking like “the joker from Batman”. His words, not ours.

7. Joe is playing cupid

Being a loved up boy in the villa can put you in a powerful position when it comes to getting the latest gossip from the ladies. Lucie spilled the tea about Amber’s date with Danny to Joe, allowing him to pass on some juicy info to Michael about his chances with Amber. “It was what it was, but it’s made her realise that she likes Michael a lot more,” he told the ecstatic firefighter.

Apparently this sandwich man does delivery, too.

8. Anton's done with the Molly-Mae graft

Molly-Mae set her sights on Danny, and although the girls may not be impressed, there is no crime when there's no official couple. But it did mean another pie for Anton, who’s ready to quit that grafting life.

“I don’t know if I can be bothered with it anymore,” Anton told Anna. “I think she’s keeping her options open - I’m just going to back off."

The Scot continued: “I’m not putting myself out there to not get anything back.”
