10 things we learnt on day 7
After the recoupling saw Callum sent packing from the villa, our new pairs got busy getting to know each other over a cosy al fresco breakfast. But just as Molly-Mae and Tommy upped the ante on the flirting, Anton decided it was time to make his move on the stunning newest arrival. Sigh.
A game of truths got a little awks as the Islanders revealed some saucy secrets, and Tommy learned how to make a peppermint tea AND an omelette. Word of a new buff boy got the Islanders excited, and Yewande was all a flutter when it was revealed she would be going on a hot date with model Danny. What. A. Day. Here's what we learnt on day 7.
1. Tommy and Lucie are just friends - and it's all cool (isn't it?)
After Lucie decided to couple up with Joe, Tommy made sure the surfer knew there were no hard feelings between them as she got reacquainted with Joe’s sandwich selection.
“I hope you and Joe get married and have 1000 kids,” the boxer told her. Awww.
The fact that he’s now sharing a bed with bombshell Molly-Mae must have softened the blow a little though right?
2. Anton's antics won't get past razor-sharp Amber
No-one was more shocked than Anton when Amber chose him to pair up with him in a friendship couple, saving him from a possible early exit from the island. There are a lot of lovely (platonic) feels between the pair, but it wasn't long before Amber's epic raised eyebrow returned when he decided to help himself to her razor the next day. Just consider it a thank you for keeping him in the villa, no?
3. Breakfast was an education for us all
A romantic outdoor breakfast date gave our newly re-paired couples a chance to chat one on one. While there some cute DMCs, we couldn’t help but think that the some of the Islanders were still feeling a bit snoozy. Between Tommy and Molly-Mae’s chive chat, Anton’s attempts at laughing therapy, and Yewande’s revelation about her fear of small holes, it was a lot to take in before the first morning coffee.
4. ...as was the game of truths
Why not use a simple block of wooden bricks disguised as an innocent game to get our Islanders to reveal much more than they would care to to their potential partners? Genius.
How many one night stands was that Joe?
5. Since when was it acceptable to use two hands in this game?
Is it just us, or was that some blatant rule-breaking?
6. FEELS ALERT: Sherif is melting!
Anna’s been a little guarded when it comes to Sherif's feels, so a chat on the roof was required to make things clear. “Honestly, you have melted me a little bit and you’ve proved to me that you’re fully worth it,” he told the pharmacist, leaving her feeling all shy. CUTE.
7. Tommy does not know his way around the kitchen
The process of putting hot water in a cup can be overwhelming for a first timer, but luckily Sherif was on hand to show Tommy how to make Molly-Mae a lovely peppermint brew. It won't be long before the boxer’s got this down to a t(ea).
Sorry, we just couldn’t resist...
8. Michael and Amber might be a vibe
They've not exchanged too many words, but a few flirty glances are all it takes to fuel a spark between two sun-soaked Islanders. And it seems to be doing the trick for Michael and Amber, who admitted they'd be up for getting to know each other better."You are straight up fire. I just want a chance to get to know you," Michael told Amber in a cosy chat by the firepit."Somebody gets my banter!" she later cheered in the Beach Hut. "He’s a nice looking boy, I can’t deny that," she added.
Innnnterestingggg...
9. The battle of ‘TomTon’ is underway
In despair at finding himself in yet ANOTHER love triangle, Tommy opted for the cool, calm and collected approach when it came to grafting Molly-Mae. But Anton’s attentive ways didn't go unnoticed by the social media influencer, leaving Tommy deciding that the hypnosis… sorry diagnosis… for Molly-Mae’s turning head was a morning omelette. But will this keep her satisfied, or will the boxer end up with egg on his face?
10. Yewande’s got a date with des-Danny
She’s looking for her prince charming, and a hot new arrival is waiting for our stunning scientist. Will there be some magic chemistry between Yewande and Danny?
