Nanette Newman on The Raging Moon and staying young
It's like it's been botoxed... it's given it a new lease of life!
Actress and star of the iconic Fairy Liquid adverts Nanette Newman joins Lorraine to talk about the DVD release of newly-restored 1971 British classic film The Raging Moon.
Directed by her late husband Bryan Forbes, Nanette stars as a wheelchair-bound paraplegic who falls in love with a man who is similarly disabled, played by Malcolm McDowell.
I met Brian when I was 18, the best thing that ever happened to me
On losing her husband, Bryan Forbes, Nanette shares how she misses him terribly but is lucky to have a wonderful family surrounding her.
Nanette feels Maggie Smith summed it up perfectly on the loss of her own husband, as people always ask whether it gets better and Maggie Smith wrote, "it never gets better, it just gets different."
And as to the secret of how Nanette keeps looking so young... there's no secret, as she'd never go under the knife or have botox. She just enjoys life! And she looks absolutely fantastic for it.
The Raging Moon on re-released DVD is out now.
