Accused of rape on Facebook

In summer 2011, 24-year-old Phillip McDonald was enjoying family life in Aberdeen, little knowing his Facebook profile picture would change his life forever.

Linsey Attridge, 31 and a total stranger to Phillip, spotted him in his picture on the social networking site and decided to falsely accuse him of rape in order to win some sympathy from her then boyfriend.

After two years of fighting for his innocence, the accuser has finally been found guilty of lying, but has only been served 200 hours of community service and a social services supervision order. Phillip joins us now along with his partner Kelly to talk about their ordeal.
