Rachel Dolezal, who identifies as trans-black, was a high-profile campaigner for African American rights but everything changed when a picture of her as a child surfaced.

Until then, friends, colleagues and the general public had believed Rachel to be African American herself, but it was revealed that she was in fact born to white American parents.

After a media onslaught, Rachel was forced to resign from her role and has struggled to find work ever since.

Now she has penned her experience in a new memoir, In Full Colour: Finding my Place in a Black and White World, to set the record straight.
