10 things we learnt from Day 2
Has really only been a couple of days? We've already learnt so much about our new Campmates and Jungle life. Here's the top ten things Day 2 taught us...
1. Toad in the hole was on the menu for Carol
“Ooooh you little monkey,” uttered our resident maths genius upon an encounter with…no, not a monkey... a toad. “Don’t you look at me like that, we can have a chat,” she added, clearly looking for some nocturnal company.
2. Reality television is really really real
“I thought it was all recorded sounds and you turned up the volume but it’s all genuine real life animals,” gasped the Gogglebox star. Of course, Scarlett. It’s the real deal.
3. Anything is possible when you’re singing the Spice Girls
Sam suggested the fantastic four sing Spice Girls songs to take their mind off the Bushtucker Trial – and it seemed to work. Zig-a-zig-ARGGHHH.
4. Pi should NEVER be a finite number
Joel told Carol that he had Pi tattooed on his arm to 106 places, explaining, “When I was a kid, I memorised it to 106 decimal places.” He later added that if Pi was a finite number, the world would end.” Eeek.
5. Larry’s the man
Adam tried to squat with Larry on his back and failed. Larry tried to squat with Adam on his back and succeeded. Respect.
6. Scarlett is a humble leader
After being voted Camp Deputy, Scarlett said, “I’ve never really had any leadership in any way. I don’t think I can handle all this power. I’m just going to be really easy on everyone.” Hmm, we’re not sure you should admit to that, Scarlett.
7. Jordan can’t handle the heat of the kitchen
Newly appointed Camp chefs, Jordan and Lisa were nervous cooking for Campmates for the first time, especially the Diversity star who admitted he was “hopeless at cooking”. There’s nothing like a fillet of kangaroo to get an amateur chef’s juices flowing.
8. Lad share feelings
“We’ve only known each other not that long and it’s mad what this Jungle does to you," said Adam as the boys had an emotional chat.
9... And so do girls
There's always time for girl talk... Ola asked if Carol was “single and ready to mingle?” . . . to which Carol replied “I do alright!”
10. We can’t wait to meet Scary Berry
Prepare for the I’m A Celebrity Big Bush Bake Off, which will see Carol and Scarlett presented with a variety of Jungle delicacies to eat by... Scary Berry!
