Tory ‘Islamophobia’ claims

Muslim Council of Britain is demanding an urgent investigation over allegations of Islamophobia within the Conservative party.

It claims there are weekly examples of Tory candidates and representatives making anti-Muslim comments.

The Conservatives said they take all such incidents seriously and have suspended all those who have behaved inappropriately.

But the first female Muslim to sit in Cabinet, Baroness Warsi, told Good Morning Britain that she has raised concerns about Islamophobic comments and campaigning for the last two years, but the party has ‘failed to take it seriously’.
