Should children always give up their seat for an adult?

A Good Morning Britain and OnePoll survey of 1,000 UK adults has found almost 60 per cent think that children should give up their seats on public transport for an adult. And Britain's mollycoddled kids should always be made to give up their seat for a grown-up in order to understand their place in society, according to etiquette expert William Hanson.

However, like many mums, Dipti Tait disagrees, saying safety should come first and parenthood is stressful enough without worrying about making your children get out of their seats.
