Former MP's life 'ruined' by abuse allegations
This has caused me to lose my future and my present
Today GMB speaks to former MP Harvey Proctor in his first live interview since the Met Police told him he faces no further action over claims of child abuse and murder.
The 69 year old, who was MP from 1979 to 1987 for the Essex constituencies of Basildon and then Billericay, was interviewed under caution last August as part of Operation Midland, accused of raping and killing one boy and beating another to death during a depraved sex party in Westminster in the early 1980s.
He had always vehemently denied the allegations and was the last living person still under investigation until the operation ended.
In March 2015, the police raided Proctor's Leicestershire home, removing a lorry load of possessions which have not yet been returned to him.
He was interviewed three months later, accused of attending sex parties and trying to castrate someone - and ended up losing both his job and his home as a result of Operation Midland.
