Dragons' Den's youngest entrepreneur
The moment they walked into the den I wanted it!
Last night 15-year-old Arminder Singh Dhillon became one of the youngest entrepreneurs to receive financial backing from Dragons' Den.
Arminder entered the Den with his mum and brother to sell his ingenious boot cleaning tool. When Dragons Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Touker Suleyman saw the product there were totally enamoured with the invention and each offered £20,000 in return for a 10 percent share of the company.
Arminder's lightbulb moment came when he was struggling to clean his muddy football boots. And voilà! He came up with a hand held soapy shoe cleaner with a special scraper and scrub functionality that will leave your boots squeaky clean within minutes. Financed by mum and dad, he was able to create a prototype and take it to pitch it to the Dragons.
With Arminder tipped to be a millionaire before his 16th birthday, when asked how he will spend his money he replied: "I would give the quarter of a million back to my mum and dad first, then I'd buy dad a nice car."
