Bride speaks of 'complete' wedding after transplant patient walks her down the aisle

I couldn’t imagine a more perfect ending to such a tragic event that happened ten years ago

Jeni Stepien

When Jeni Stepien from Pennsyvalnia was making preparations for her big day she knew that her father wouldn't be there to walk her down the aisle. Jeni's father, Michael Stepien was tragically murdered ten years ago during a robbery in 2006. As a donor his heart was given to Arthur Thomas who had been desperately ill and awaiting a transplant.

I would have walked, if I had to, to go to that ceremony

Arthur Thomas

What happened next can only be described as one of the most touching things that we have ever seen. Arthur agreed to walk Jeni down the aisle so she could have a piece of her father by her side. The most tear-jerking moment came when Jeni placed her hand on her father's heart and felt it beating. She explains that it was a 'magical moment'.
